Between the water and the sky, light and shadow flicker. A brand new ship slowly sails along the channel. - In the eyes of the Changhong shipbuilders, this is the most beautiful scene. On the afternoon of November 12, the second 250,000-ton bulk carrier 'HOUHENG 6' built by Zhoushan Changhong International successfully started its trial voyage. This ship is currently the largest tonnage vessel built by Changhong and is the second in the series. The designed deadweight tonnage is 250,000 tons, the structural deadweight tonnage is 262,000 tons, the service speed is 14.5 knots, and the actual EEDI value achieved is more than 20% lower than the baseline value, with a daily fuel consumption of 64 tons at the main engine CSR point. The main dimensions are: total length approximately 327 meters, beam 57 meters, depth 25.5 meters, designed draft 18.1 meters, structural draft 18.8 meters. After a long wait and hard work, this moment has finally arrived, and everyone feels an uncontrollable joy and emotion in their hearts.

Since the trial voyage plan was set, the company has focused its main energy and key personnel to quickly meet the trial conditions, clarifying divisions of labor, prioritizing tasks, and emphasizing key points, closely adhering to the timeline, reversing the schedule, and self-imposing pressure to improve the efficiency and enthusiasm of the work to 'speed up progress and ensure the trial voyage', striving to ensure the overall advancement of production progress. Before the trial voyage, employees could be seen everywhere on 'HOUHENG 6' busy with walkie-talkies, nervously debugging various system equipment and addressing critical issues identified during the trial of the first ship, making final preparations for the trial voyage plan.

The weighing test can only be conducted when the entire ship is completed. October was rainy for many days, and the debris after the scaffolding was removed mixed with rainwater in the cabin, severely affecting progress. All members of the project team were mobilized, working tirelessly for more than ten days to clean the entire ship, ensuring that the test could be conducted on time. During the main engine fuel injection process, the internal pipes of the main engine needed to be prepared on-site, and 6 to 7 pipe workers in the engine room worked continuously overnight for two days to successfully complete the task. Each ballast tank was equipped with scaffolding and process holes during construction, and the sealing work was substantial, with painting workers also working overnight to repair the paint in the ballast tanks. Builders from various trades closely monitored their work areas, gritting their teeth to not overlook any flaws before the trial voyage. Although there were times when they complained about the high demands of the shipowner, they never neglected any detail due to fatigue or annoyance. Whenever the shipowner or ship inspection raised concerns, the project team would take them seriously, addressing them on-site, striving for perfection.

"If there are problems, we will solve them. As long as we fully utilize our wisdom and unity, we can always get infinitely closer to others' expectations for the trial voyage," the project team leader confidently stated.

On the afternoon of November 16, after 4 nights and 5 days of sailing at sea, 'HOUHENG 6' docked amidst the deafening sound of firecrackers. This success was achieved after the project team endured a series of struggles against time and difficulties. The trial voyage successfully completed all inspection items and met the requirements of the shipowner and ship inspection, successfully fulfilling the trial voyage task.
