EPS launched its first 115,000 tonne tanker CHB3001

At 8:38 on January 16, the first 115,000 ton tanker CHB3001 built by Zhoushan Changhong International for EPS was successfully launched.

Veza, Hanu, Marko, Matija and other members of the EPS shipowner supervisory group, together with Pang Maocan, Mustapha and other representatives of ABS classification Society, as well as senior leaders of Changhong International New Shipbuilding, witnessed this moment.

As the crystallization of the sincere cooperation between Changhong International and CIMC Shanghai Institute (CIMC ORIC), based on the latest regulations, the new generation of LR2/ Afra oil tanker has been developed with a total length of 249.9 meters, a vertical length of 245.5 meters, a ship width of 44 meters, a depth of 21.5 meters, and a structural draft of 15.2 meters. Maximum deadweight tonnage is up to 115,000 tons.

Since the contract was signed in May last year, the design team has worked day and night to closely align owner comments and rationalization suggestions through a variety of innovative methods such as model review, WRIKE system drawing management, and now the full owner hull area model is perfectly presented, demonstrating the superior strength and efficient collaboration of the design team.

115,000 tons of oil tankers have gradually become the main products of Changhong International, and the company currently holds orders for 27 ships.
