On the afternoon of July 29, Zhoushan Changhong International smoothly connected the 10th 5300 TEU container ship CHB2015, built for the Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L.P., to the floating dock, marking the successful completion of the launch phase for the last ship in this series. After launching, the ship will enter the dock for overall lifting and subsequent outfitting work at the terminal.

Mr. Shunji Sasada, CEO of NAVIOS, along with the on-site office ADK team, representatives from DNV GL, and senior leaders of the company witnessed the ship's launch, reflecting the high attention and seamless collaboration from all parties involved in the project.

The ship has a total length of approximately 237.8 meters, a beam of 38.8 meters, and a depth of 21.8 meters, classified by DNV GL. The design concept of the ship overturns the traditional long and narrow design of container ships, optimizing the hull shape with a wide-body concept, equipped with an optimized low-power main engine, low fuel consumption, and an EEDI energy consumption index more than 30% below the baseline index, meeting phase 3 requirements. It is equipped with a 2.5-layer lashing bridge, capable of carrying 3845 14-ton containers, which is 145-345 more slots than other designs of the same type. It has 1000 reefer plug sockets, allowing for the simultaneous loading of 750 reefers, and is equipped with a low-sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, making it environmentally friendly and compliant with the latest regulations.

The series of 5300 TEU container ships consists of a total of 10 ships, of which 5 have been delivered, with plans to deliver all by the end of the year.
