On July 4, 2024, at 8:28 AM, Changhong International completed the online signing and delivery of the fifth 5300 TEU container ship CHB2012 (ship name: ZIM FALCON) built for the Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L. P.

Mr. Dai Jiming, President of Changhong International, along with Mr. Georgios Panagakis, representative of NAVIOS, and Ms. Aikaterina Dimitriou, representative of DNB Bank, simultaneously signed the official delivery documents in Zhoushan and Greece.

In addition, Mr. Christoforos Konstantinidis, manager of the ADK site office for NAVIOS, Mr. Guan Shengyu, senior surveyor and project manager at DNV Zhoushan Station, Mr. Shen Zhihua, general manager of the shipbuilding company, Mr. Liu Ming, assistant to the general manager, MB Shipbrokers, and relevant leaders witnessed the ship delivery both online and offline.

This series of 5300 TEU container ships consists of ten vessels, with a total length of approximately 237.8 meters, a beam of 38.8 meters, and a depth of 21.8 meters, classified by DNV. The ship design boldly breaks through the limitations of traditional container ships' narrow shapes, adopting an innovative wide-body concept to optimize the hull form, equipped with efficient and energy-saving low-power main engines, low fuel consumption, and an EEDI energy consumption index more than 30% below the baseline index, meeting phase 3 requirements. This series is equipped with a 2.5-layer lashing bridge, capable of carrying 3845 14T containers, which is 145-345 more container slots than other designs of the same type, equipped with 1000 reefer plug sockets, allowing simultaneous loading of 750 reefers, and features a low-sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, showcasing its green and environmentally friendly navigation concept.

The 'ZIM FALCON' will set sail on July 5, officially joining the owner's operating fleet and embarking on her commercial journey.
