At 4:08 AM on June 1, Changhong International successfully connected the 8th 5300 TEU container ship CHB2025, built for the Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L.P., to the floating dock, marking the successful completion of the launch milestone for the vessel. After the launch, the ship will enter the dock for overall lifting and subsequent outfitting work at the terminal.

The launch ceremony was attended by the shipowner's on-site office, DNV GL, and company leaders.

The ship has a total length of approximately 237.8 meters, a beam of 38.8 meters, and a depth of 21.8 meters, and is classified by DNV GL. The design concept of the ship overturns the traditional long and narrow design of container ships, optimizing the hull shape with a wide-body concept, equipped with an optimized low-power main engine, low fuel consumption, and an EEDI energy consumption index that is more than 30 points below the baseline index, meeting phase 3 requirements. This series is equipped with a 2.5-layer lashing bridge, capable of carrying 3845 14-ton containers, which is 145-345 more container slots compared to other designs of the same type. It is equipped with 1000 reefer plug sockets, allowing for the simultaneous loading of 750 reefers, and features a low-sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, making it environmentally friendly and compliant with the latest regulations.

There are a total of 10 ships of this type, with 5 already launched, 2 on the slipway, and 3 ships delivered.
