The Zhoushan Changhong International Terminal project utilizes port coastline through consultation with experts from the Ministry of Transport.

On June 16, entrusted by the Ministry of Transport, the China Communications Construction Company Water Transport Planning and Design Institute held an expert consultation meeting on the port shoreline usage for the Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Recycling Co., Ltd. and Zhoushan Changhong Metal Resource Utilization Co., Ltd. terminal project in Zhoushan. Experts and representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation, Port and Shipping Administration, Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration, Zhoushan Port and Shipping Administration, Zhoushan Maritime Safety Administration, and other relevant departments attended the meeting.
The attending experts and representatives conducted an on-site inspection of the Changhong International site, listened to the introduction from the leaders of the industrial park, and received content presentations from the feasibility study preparation unit. After careful review, the experts unanimously agreed that the two projects of Changhong International align with the industrial layout planning of the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, and the construction of these projects will positively promote the improvement of the shipbuilding industry structure and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. At the same time, the experts also made suggestions for further optimizing the plan and agreed that the report could serve as the basis for the Ministry of Transport's approval of the Zhoushan Changhong International port shoreline usage after appropriate modifications.
