Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Company successfully launched the 39000DWT No. 2 ship.

On the afternoon of October 20, Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. successfully launched the 39000DWT No. 2 ship built for New Changjiang Shipping (Singapore) Co., Ltd. at Changhong International No. 1 shipyard. The ship was launched using a horizontal slipway and floating dock connection. After a simple yet grand ceremony with cannon fire, approximately 300 people, including the shipowner, surveyors, shipyard workers, and various guests, witnessed this exciting moment.
The 39000DWT ship has a total length of 179.9 meters, a beam of 30.0 meters, and a depth of 14.8 meters. It can carry grains, coal, sulfur, cement, steel coils, logs, and more, and is classified by BV classification society. It is a green, environmentally friendly, and economical bulk carrier that meets the latest regulatory requirements. It is reported that compared to the first ship, the integrity of the outfitting of No. 2 ship has significantly improved, thus shortening the launch time. During the launch process, all aspects of production, quality, technology, and safety at Zhoushan Changhong International were highly coordinated, with preparations made in advance and real-time monitoring of parameters such as dock tide levels, slipway heights, and floating dock levels, allowing for timely adjustments to overcome the uncertainties of the floating dock connection, ensuring the entire launch process was safe and controllable. This launch also validated the safety and reliability of the shipyard's independently designed horizontal slipway shipbuilding and floating dock connection launch plan.
The successful launch of the 39000DWT No. 2 ship marks a significant milestone for the shipbuilding department, completing a major target for the company before the end of the year and laying a solid foundation for the ship's subsequent trial voyage and delivery on schedule.
