Its advantages include a short sinking and floating time, a large working area inside the dock (160M*40M), and a high degree of automation; it can be used not only for repairing and building ships but also for transporting bulk goods. This dock was designed by Ningbo Oriental Ship Design Institute and will be delivered to Taiwan CITIC Shipbuilding for use after completion. Construction began in March this year, and after more than 200 days of effort, it has met the conditions for launching.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Han Bixiang delivered an enthusiastic speech, stating that the completion and launch of the dock is a joyous occasion for both companies. Changhong International, as a large shipyard under Jiangsu New Changjiang Group, has a unique geographical location and is their primary partner for building quality ships. In just a few years, Changhong International has leveraged its scale advantages, implemented fine management, and adopted lean shipbuilding practices to complete various shipbuilding tasks with high quality, efficiency, and safety, forming a capacity for mass shipbuilding, which deserves full recognition. CITIC Shipbuilding will continue to support the development of Changhong International and create a more favorable environment for it. President Dai Jiming expressed gratitude on behalf of Changhong International for CITIC Shipbuilding's support and looked forward to the broad prospects for in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the future. He hoped that all colleagues at Changhong International would fully cherish the good development opportunities, work hard, fully utilize advanced shipbuilding production capabilities, and move towards the goals of integrated ship manufacturing and refined production management, ensuring quality and efficiency, producing high-tech, high value-added, and influential ship products, and building the Changhong International shipbuilding brand.

Finally, Chairman Han Bixiang named the floating dock and smashed a champagne bottle. Chairman Han took out the naming card and sent best wishes for the new dock, while Mr. Zhang Guoren cut the cable. As the rope broke and the red cloth fell, the words "CITIC No. 8" appeared on both sides of the bow, and the name of the ship was accompanied by a waterfall of cold flames, with firecrackers ringing out, and the crowd was excited and jubilant. Amidst the cheers of the crowd, "CITIC No. 8" smoothly slid from the shipyard towards "Changhong Mountain." The successful launch of "CITIC No. 8" opens a new chapter in Changhong International's shipbuilding career and lays a solid foundation for the construction of subsequent vessels.
