After the opening of Zhoushan Changhong International Port, the first foreign vessel 'Minghe' has arrived for repairs.

On the afternoon of December 19, a Hong Kong-registered bulk carrier, the "Minghe", slowly entered the No. 1 dock of Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., starting maintenance focused on dock repair and painting projects. This is the first foreign ship repair task undertaken by Zhoushan Changhong International since passing the port opening inspection in October this year. By the end of this month, two more foreign ships will successively enter the factory for repairs.
The "Minghe" has a gross tonnage of 91,373, a net tonnage of 58,745, and a deadweight tonnage of 177,921. Its dimensions are: 292 meters in length, 45 meters in width, and 24.8 meters in height. Preparations had already been successfully carried out before the "Minghe" entered the port. Risk assessment and corresponding preventive measures were taken, night operation safety and environmental protection were strengthened, and dedicated personnel were organized for inspections; additionally, active cooperation with the shipowner, procurement, and external parties was ensured to guarantee production. Deputy General Manager Ma Weidong pointed out that a communication meeting with the shipowner must be held before the repair to ensure the smooth progress of the repair work and strict quality control.
Production manager Gu Yijiang stated that they would definitely follow the instructions of the company leadership and successfully complete this foreign ship repair. The technical department and the dock repair department also expressed their willingness to actively cooperate and ensure the quality of the "Minghe" repair work.
Repairing foreign ships in the factory is the foundation for ship repair enterprises to compete in the international market and reflects the overall quality level of Changhong International.
