Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics has signed a contract for the construction of 2,500 container ships with Changhong International.

On March 25, Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics signed a contract for the construction of a 2500 TEU container ship with Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Company. Leaders including General Manager Xia Guoqing and Deputy General Manager Zhang Jiangang from Zhonggu Logistics, as well as President Dai Jiming from Changhong International, attended the ceremony.
It is understood that Shanghai Zhonggu Shipping Group is a comprehensive enterprise group primarily focused on coastal container shipping, with other supporting industries as extensions. It provides maritime container transportation services as a foundation, extending to various multimodal transport services, including river-sea transport, water-water transshipment, sea-land transport, and sea-rail transport, and offers customized services to major enterprises. The group owns more than 60 vessels, with a total capacity exceeding one million tons, and its routes comprehensively cover all coastal regions in the country, with an annual container throughput exceeding 3 million TEU at ports nationwide.
The 2500 TEU container ship being constructed has a total length of 179.9 meters, a beam of 32.18 meters, and a depth of 16 meters. It will be classified by the China Classification Society and is set to begin construction soon, laying a foundation for long-term cooperation between both parties and greatly boosting employee morale.
