The second 115,000-ton product oil & crude oil tanker CHB3002 of EPS has laid the keel.

On December 2 at 10:58, the second 115,000-ton product oil and crude oil tanker CHB3002 built by Changhong International for the shipowner EPS successfully had its keel laid. Members of the EPS shipowner supervision team, including Hanu and Matija, along with ABS classification society representative Mustapha, Pang Maocan, and Mr. Fu Dafei, assistant general manager of new shipbuilding at Changhong International, attended the ceremony.

 

This vessel is a new generation LR2/Aframax oil tanker developed through sincere cooperation between Changhong International and the CIMC Shipbuilding Ocean Engineering Design and Research Institute (CIMC ORIC), based on the latest specifications and rules. It has a total length of 249.9 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 245.5 meters, a width of 44 meters, a depth of 21.5 meters, a structural draft of 15.2 meters, and a maximum deadweight tonnage of 115,000 tons. Since the contract was signed last May, the design team has worked day and night, utilizing various innovative methods such as model reviews and WRIKE system drawing management, closely aligning with the shipowner's opinions and rational suggestions, demonstrating efficient collaboration capabilities.

The 115,000-ton series tankers have become the flagship product of Changhong International, and the company currently holds orders for 27 vessels in this series.
