Following the commencement of two 1004TEU container ships last year, on January 13, Zhoushan Changhong International successfully started the construction of two more container ships, CHB064 and CHB065, for Jungerhans Shipping Company and China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Shipbuilding Research Institute. Representatives from the shipowner, company leaders, and project team members attended the ceremony.
The ship type has a total length of 153 meters, a beam of 24.5 meters, a depth of 11.8 meters, a design draft of 7.6 meters, a structural draft of 8 meters, a deadweight tonnage of 13,250 tons, a speed of 18 knots, and is classified by DNV-GL.
In recent years, Changhong International has continuously strengthened its product research and development and market expansion efforts, adhering to a development strategy of product diversification and high-quality products, forming a construction trend focused on bulk carriers, container ships, floating docks, and other vessels.
