Changhong International grandly held the naming ceremony for the 1004TEU container ships (CHB062/063)

On November 13, Zhoushan Changhong International held a grand naming ceremony for two 1004TEU container ships (CHB062/063). These two ships were built by Changhong International for the German company Jungerhans and the China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Design Research Institute.

The named ships 'Diamond' and 'Jade' are equipped with various advanced devices and functions. Relying on new patents and an innovative cargo loading system, they can quickly and safely load various unconventional-sized containers. The ships are also equipped with the latest two-stroke main engines, significantly reducing fuel consumption and lowering transportation costs. The total length of the ship is 153 meters, with a beam of 24.5 meters, a depth of 11.8 meters, a design draft of 7.6 meters, a structural draft of 8 meters, a deadweight tonnage of 13,250 tons, and a speed of 18 knots.

Dai Jiming, President of Changhong International, expressed gratitude to all the guests during the naming speech, stating that the naming of ships 63 and 62 is a good start. Changhong International will work together to overcome difficulties and ensure quality and quantity in delivery. He also hopes to take the construction of the 1004TEU container ship series as an opportunity to further deepen friendly relations with shipowners and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation.
