On September 20, the Zhoushan Changhong International 82,000 DWT bulk carrier successfully started its trial voyage.
The vessel was originally built by Jiangsu Dongfang Heavy Industry and later continued construction at Changhong International. It has a total length of 229 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 20.05 meters, a designed draft of 12.20 meters, and a designed deadweight of 82,000 tons. The hull features a vertical bulbous bow, is fully welded from steel, has a square stern, and is a single deck.It entered Changhong Dock for continued construction in March 2018. During the six months, the project team faced a series of difficulties such as a large number of missing parts and high-temperature typhoons, but they worked together and made every effort to advance the project. Various issues encountered during the preparation for the trial voyage were resolved by the comrades working on the front lines, ensuring the smooth progress of the trial voyage.
