The first 20,000m³ liquefied natural gas transportation and refueling vessel of Changhong International has been ignited and commenced construction.

On November 15, Zhoushan Changhong International and Nantong CIMC Pacific Offshore (CIMC SOE) started the construction of a 20,000m³ liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport and refueling vessel for STOLT-NIELSEN GAS B.V.
This is the first vessel in the 2+2+2 order signed between STOLT-NIELSEN GAS B.V. and CIMC SOE. The ship is 159.7 meters long, 24 meters wide, and 16.75 meters deep, and is classified by DNV GL. It is a joint product of Changhong International and CIMC SOE.
STOLT-NIELSEN GAS B.V. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avenir LNG, a joint venture between the world's largest chemical shipping company Stolt-Nielsen and two giants in the LNG sector, Hoegh LNG and Golar LNG, focusing on small-scale LNG transportation and LNG refueling services. CIMC SOE has rich experience in the design and manufacturing of gas transport vessels and a good delivery record. The 20,000 cubic meter LNG transport and refueling vessel is currently the largest LNG refueling vessel in the world, featuring a C-type membrane tank that is safe, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly. It represents a technological advancement in LNG transport vessels, capable of transporting LNG and refueling other vessels and terminals.
In recent years, Changhong has benefited from the resource advantages and good cooperation of the CIMC platform, steadily improving its production level. The liquefied natural gas transport vessel is Changhong's first product and marks the beginning of its comprehensive construction of high value-added vessel business. This is another significant step forward on the road to upgrading, following the commencement of various container ships and the Mawei fishing ground projects, marking a milestone event.
