Navios' first 115,000-ton product oil tanker CHB3011 has been ignited and commenced construction.

At 8:58 AM on October 10, Changhong International ignited the construction of the first 115,000-ton product oil tanker built for the Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L.P. in the company's digital workshop. Representatives from the shipowner's on-site office, ship inspection, company leaders, and relevant department representatives attended the ceremony to witness the ship's commencement. Mr. Agallou Ioannis, the manager of the ADK on-site office for NAVIOS, Mr. Pang Maochan from ABS, and Mr. Liu Ming, assistant general manager of shipbuilding at the company, signed the commencement certificate on behalf of the three parties.
The Greek NAVIOS company has ordered a total of 10 units of 115,000-ton product oil tankers from Changhong International, marking another collaboration between Changhong International and NAVIOS following the order of 10 units of 5,300 TEU container ships.
The 115,000-ton series ship type is a new generation LR2/Aframax deep well pump oil tanker developed based on the latest specifications and rules, with a total length of approximately 249.9 meters, a width of 44 meters, and a depth of 21.5 meters. It is classified by ABS. In addition to conventional fuel oil, the ship can also use clean energy sources such as methanol and LNG as fuel. Furthermore, the reservation for medium-voltage shore power provides favorable conditions for the shipowner to connect to the medium-voltage shore power system in the future, effectively reducing air pollution such as carbon and sulfur generated by auxiliary generators during the ship's port stay. Additionally, HVSC has been adopted by more shipowners as the most effective environmental protection solution. It is worth mentioning that the ship also uses advanced single-hull single-pump hydraulic-driven deep well pumps (Framo), which increases the diversity of cargo and provides more operational value.
