Amid the festive sound of firecrackers, Changhong International successfully launched the second 50,000-ton MR-type chemical oil tanker CHB5002 built for Pro Tanker Company. Subsequently, the ship will enter the dock for overall lifting and subsequent terminal outfitting work.

The 50,000-ton MR-type ship is one of the key ship types promoted by Changhong International in recent years, with a total of five vessels in this series. During the design and construction process, multiple advanced technologies were employed to enhance efficiency and environmental performance. The signing of more orders for similar ships has brought new opportunities for the company's business expansion.

The total length of the ship is approximately 182.95 meters, with a beam of 32.2 meters and a depth of 19.10 meters. It is equipped with advanced energy-saving devices, utilizing seawater cooling pumps and fan variable frequency technology to improve operational efficiency. The main engine and generator use SCR technology to reduce fuel consumption and meet the latest environmental regulations, while also complying with the EEDI Phase III standard. In addition, the new type of wash water system configuration provides convenience for shipowners to handle wash water in restricted areas.

Upon delivery, the classification society will issue GR (ML, A) and EGCS-R (A, S) class symbols, laying a solid foundation for future desulfurization retrofitting and the use of more environmentally friendly fuel methanol.

Leaders from Pro Tanker Company, SMC supervision company, LR classification society, and Changhong International attended the ceremony together.

In the future, Changhong International will continue to focus on product innovation and development, providing high-quality services to customers.
