At 10:58 on June 11, the keel-laying ceremony for the 50,000-ton oil and chemical tanker CHB5002, built by Zhoushan Changhong International for the shipowner Pro Tanker, was held at Changhong's Zengzhou shipyard. Subsequent cargo hold special coating work and other installation and commissioning tasks will also be carried out gradually.
The ship has a total length of approximately 182.95 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, and a depth of 19.10 meters, and is classified by LR classification society. The ship design adopts a stern engine type, single fixed pitch propeller diesel drive, meeting the requirements for navigation in unlimited sea areas, equipped with energy-saving devices, using seawater cooling pumps and fan variable frequency energy-saving technology, and both the main engine and generator use SCR technology, which can further reduce fuel consumption, making it a new generation of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly MR oil tanker.
