4+1+1 ships! Changhong International has received an MR oil tanker order from a Greek shipowner.

On the afternoon of May 16, Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. signed an order for 4+1+1 50,000-ton chemical/oil tankers with Greek shipowner Horizon Tankers Limited S.A. Previously, Zhoushan Changhong International and Horizon Tankers Limited S.A. had collaborated multiple times in ship repair. This signing in the new shipbuilding sector fully demonstrates the shipowner's trust and recognition of Changhong International. The batch of vessels will be delivered successively from the second half of 2026 to 2027.
The 50,000-ton chemical/oil tanker is independently developed and designed by Shanghai Shipbuilding Research and Design Institute (SDARI), with complete intellectual property rights. The vessel has a total length of 182.75 meters, a beam of 32.20 meters, a depth of 19.10 meters, a design draft of 11.00 meters, and a design speed of up to 14.5 knots, using a MAN 6G50ME-C9.6-HPSCR TIER III main engine. The ship design not only has excellent energy-saving and environmental protection performance but also fully considers its comprehensive performance throughout its entire lifecycle, meeting the stringent emission standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Changhong International currently holds orders for 10+2 MR vessels and 16 LR2 vessels. In the future, the company will further deepen its efforts in the medium-sized tanker market, continuously enhance the technical content and market competitiveness of its products, and build a prestigious brand for Changhong shipbuilding.
