Three months in advance! The 6th 2500 TEU container ship CHB083 has been delivered.

At 9:18 AM on November 27, the sixth 2500 TEU container ship CHB083 built by Zhoushan Changhong International was signed over and delivered, more than three months ahead of the contract delivery date. The ship is scheduled to set sail for its maiden voyage at the end of this month.
After the successful trial voyage return on November 15, the project team fully engaged in sorting out the shipowner's and ship inspection's trial voyage feedback and remaining project work. Daily meetings were held to discuss trial voyage feedback and remaining project coordination, summarizing the day's work completion and planning for the next day; all feedback was detailed to individuals, and active communication with the shipowner and ship inspection was maintained to close each piece of feedback.
In addition, we closely monitored the weather forecast, reasonably arranged the construction schedule, and timely adjusted the inspection items. Coupled with full communication and close cooperation among various departments, as well as the strong support from the shipowner and ship inspection, the ship was successfully delivered ahead of schedule.
The ship was launched on September 11, completed the superstructure lifting in the dock on the 19th, and was moved to the wharf for outfitting. The weight test was completed on November 8, the main engine and dynamic alarm point tests were completed on the 12th, trial voyage mode was initiated from the 13th to the 15th, and it was signed over and delivered on the 27th. From the end of the superstructure lifting to the trial voyage was 54 days; from the trial voyage return to signing delivery was 12 days... Each milestone was completed on time, and the shortening of each construction cycle fully demonstrated the spirit of unity and hard work of Changhong people.
The 2500 TEU ship is a new generation of 'largest Bangkok' container ships, which can stack 2 more rows of containers compared to traditional Bangkok-type container ships, featuring large carrying capacity, more container slots, low fuel consumption, and energy-saving environmental protection. Based on the operational characteristics of the shipowner's routes, the ship's hull form underwent multiple rounds of CFD optimization and was tested in the HSVA tank in Germany, demonstrating excellent hydrodynamic performance, with EEDI meeting Phase III requirements, approximately 36% below the reference line.
The ship type was developed and designed by the China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Design and Research Institute, with a total of 8 vessels, and this ship is the sixth. The ship has a total length of 171.95 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, a depth of 16.7 meters, a design speed of 18 knots, and is classified by LR classification society.
