On May 25, 2015, President Xi Jinping inspected Changhong International and earnestly advised Changhong to accurately identify the market, properly allocate various factors such as capital, technology, and management, and effectively utilize various talents, so that it could surpass others and establish its own advantages in the fierce competition of survival of the fittest. He encouraged the people of Changhong to enhance their confidence, continuously improve their core competitiveness, and make positive contributions to the growth of China's marine engineering manufacturing industry.

The earnest instructions are still fresh in our ears; the expectations remain consistent. Over the past eight years, Changhong International has always adhered to its entrepreneurial original intention, focusing on high-level technology to drive transformation and upgrading, seizing the market, daring to innovate, and actively participating in the national marine strategy and shipbuilding industry development plan. Shipbuilding products have steadily entered two lines: one is the transformation from large bulk carriers and small container ships to 10,000 TEU container ships, expanding the establishment of high-tech ship products mainly based on independently developed ship types; the other is undertaking the construction of high-end ships represented by chemical tankers and offshore engineering vessels. On this basis, it has successively completed and delivered special ships for the "Deep Sea Fishing Ground," 5000m³ LPG gas carriers, 7500m³ and 20000m³ LNG gas carriers, and received orders for 11500 TEU container ships and various types of product oil tankers, showcasing the results of product quality improvement and upgrading.

In terms of ship repair, we have deeply improved the ship repair process, enhanced repair quality, shortened dry-docking periods, increased the ratio of modified ship repairs, and applied safer and more environmentally friendly modern ship repair management technologies. We have undertaken a large number of high-value-added ships such as various desulfurization device retrofitting ships, ballast water treatment installation ships, ro-ro ships, and drilling platforms. In recent years, we have signed bulk desulfurization retrofitting orders with well-known shipping companies such as Norway's VLCC, MSC, and SEASPAN, achieving a marginal contribution increase of over 10%. The number of "dual high" ships has steadily increased, and the ship repair business strategy has been continuously optimized, resonating with customer levels and corporate development.

After the investment from China International Marine Containers (CIMC), Changhong International has integrated various resources from CIMC's financial leasing, ship design, and manufacturing, actively connecting with world-class shipping companies such as MAERSK LINE, MSC, and CMA-CGM, resulting in a dual leap in both quantity and quality of repair and construction orders. Subsequently, we acquired the European and American shipyard through bidding and signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Jinhai Intelligent Manufacturing, establishing repair and construction bases in Zhoushan's Dinghai, Putuo, and Daishan. We partnered with CIMC to establish a trading company, creating a trade base centered in Zhoushan that radiates nationwide, mainly selling ship steel and other ship materials, and smoothly integrating into the steel structure business of Zengzhou Shipyard to expand into wind power projects. We actively collaborated with South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries and Canada's SEASPAN to carry out strategic cooperation, successfully securing long-term segment construction orders from Samsung, laying the foundation for subsequent orders. Currently, relying on the business philosophy of "customer first, refining and strengthening," Changhong's development pattern has fully opened up, achieving remarkable results against the backdrop of an unprecedented severe situation.

On February 16, 2023, Provincial Party Secretary Yi Lianhong inspected the Changhong International shipyard, understanding the company's vigorous development of the marine engineering manufacturing industry, emphasizing that enterprises should broaden their horizons, expand their thinking, comprehensively enhance core competitiveness, and fully promote the high-end development of the shipbuilding industry and the entire industrial chain.

All along, the company has implemented a high-quality development strategy, maintained high-frequency interactions with universities, solidified the normalization mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation, and further strengthened the talent reserve team. At the same time, we have successively completed major technological upgrades such as the replacement of sandblasting rust removal technology with high-pressure water in ship repair and the intelligent transformation of 100,000-ton level shipyard transfer technology. We established the "Changhong International Shipbuilding Technology Innovation Studio" to accelerate the batch delivery of various container ships by addressing difficult issues in shipbuilding. We are preparing to establish the "Zhoushan Doctoral Innovation Workstation" to assist in the construction of the marine equipment intelligent manufacturing professional group and the provincial-level dual-high plan.

Every surging wave witnesses the ocean's grandeur, and every hot steel plate forges the strong will of the people of Changhong. At the end of June, Changhong International was elected as the president unit of the Zhoushan Shipbuilding Industry Association. We have been bestowed with honor and have also taken on responsibility. In the future, Changhong will unswervingly implement the concept of high-quality development in Zhoushan's manufacturing industry and spare no effort to contribute to the high-quality development of Zhoushan's marine economy.
