5Month10In the afternoon, Changhong International held a ceremony for the Greek shipownerNAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L. P.to construct the third5300TEUcontainer ship (CHB2023) ignition and commencement.
The ship has a total length of about237.8meters, a beam of38.8meters, a depth of21.8meters, and is classified byDNVClassification Society. The design concept of this ship type subverts the traditional long and narrow design of container ships, optimizing the hull shape with a wide-body concept, with main dimensions significantly smaller than current ships with the same container capacity, while stability is greatly superior to traditional container ships, and the ballast water requirement is significantly reduced compared to similar ships on the market, saving costs.
