The General Office of the Ministry of Transport officially announced on December 10 the list of adjusted and supplemented old transport vessels and single-hull oil tanker dismantling enterprises, with Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Recycling Co., Ltd. making the list.Implementing a designated dismantling system for the early scrapping and updating of old transport vessels and single-hull oil tankers is an important measure to implement the State Council's shipbuilding industry adjustment and revitalization plan, using central government financial subsidies to encourage some old transport vessels and single-hull oil tankers that do not meet the government's mandatory scrapping age to exit the market early through updating. The early elimination of these old transport vessels and single-hull oil tankers, which have high energy consumption, safety, and pollution risks, helps reduce ship energy consumption and emissions, decrease safety accidents and water pollution, ensure shipping safety, and protect the water environment.
Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Recycling Company occupies an important share in the national ship dismantling market.
