The first technical training class for refrigerant recovery equipment for shipbreaking enterprises in China officially opened, with Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Recycling Company serving as the on-site training base.

424thto 26thFrom the 24th to the 26th, the "First Refrigerant Recovery Equipment Technical Training Course for Shipbreaking Enterprises in China" organized by the China Ministry of Environmental Protection's Foreign Cooperation Center and the China Shipbreaking Association officially commenced in Zhoushan City. Zhoushan Changhong International Ship Recycling Company was designated as the on-site training base. Representatives from shipbreaking enterprises in various provinces and cities, including Dalian, Tianjin, Guangdong, Fujian, Anhui, and Zhejiang, participated in this training.
At the opening ceremony on the 24th, Deputy Director Zheng from the Project Division III of the Foreign Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection expressed gratitude to the China Shipbreaking Association and all shipbreaking enterprises. He noted that despite the unprecedented economic pressure faced by the shipbreaking industry amid a general slowdown in economic growth, these enterprises are still actively investing human and material resources into environmental protection and exploring new environmental protection technologies, which is highly commendable. At the same time, Deputy Director Zheng also set higher environmental protection standards for the shipbreaking enterprises, urging them to earnestly practice green ship dismantling and effectively carry out environmental protection work, contributing to the growth and strengthening of ship dismantling in China.
Xie Dehua, President of the China Shipbreaking Association, provided a detailed analysis of the difficult situation currently faced by the Chinese shipbreaking industry and reported on the association's main work plans. He also encouraged shipbreaking enterprises to actively adjust their business strategies, optimize management, and seek survival and development in adversity.
On April 25th, participants in the training, arranged by the association, went to the Donggang Pool of the ship recycling company to receive on-site technical guidance from engineers of the refrigerant collection equipment suppliers. The training course concluded successfully on the 26th.
