On October 9, a port opening acceptance team composed of the Port Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, Zhejiang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Zhejiang Border Defense, Zhejiang Maritime Affairs, and Hangzhou Customs conducted an acceptance inspection of the Zhoushan Changhong International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. port opening.
On that morning, the acceptance team inspected the transportation, production, and safety infrastructure related to the company's port opening, as well as the supporting facilities of the port joint inspection building. In the afternoon, an acceptance meeting was held. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Antian, Director of the Port Office of the Provincial Government, with Deputy Director Chen Jiasi and other leaders from the Hangzhou Customs Supervision Department participating and speaking. At the meeting, leaders from the Municipal Port Commission and Zhoushan Government reported on the relevant work of the port opening; the company leader gave a special report on the work situation; various stationed units in Zhoushan also expressed opinions on the pre-acceptance situation and made suggestions for improvement. After research, the provincial joint acceptance team unanimously agreed that the Zhoushan Changhong International Port's inspection and supervision, on-site office space, personnel allocation, and navigation conditions basically meet the national requirements for port opening and the needs for conducting foreign-related ship repair business, and have reached the acceptance standards, ultimately agreeing to officially open the Zhoushan Changhong International Port to the outside world.
The successful opening of this port lays the foundation for the repair and construction of large-tonnage vessels at Changhong International Port. It is both an opportunity and a challenge. Especially in the current severe situation of intense competition in the shipbuilding and repair industry, the increase in cargo throughput and the opening of the port can greatly enhance the company's competitive ability, reduce operational costs, and enable the company to directly participate in international competition in the shipbuilding and repair industry, thereby improving the company's management level and capabilities, promoting the company's development and improving its benefits.
