On the afternoon of November 3, Zhoushan Changhong International successfully held the delivery signing ceremony for the 635,000-ton bulk carrier (CHB004) built for New Yangtze Navigation (Hong Kong) Company. This is the fourth new ship delivered by our company. Representatives from NEW YANGTZE NAVIGATION, third-party supervision PARAKOU, LR classification society, and Changhong International attended the delivery ceremony.
The 63,500-ton bulk carrier (CHB004) has a total length of 199.99M, a beam of 32.26M, a depth of 18.50M, a designed draft of 11.30M, and a deadweight of 63,500 tons. It is classified by LR and can carry grains, coal, sulfur, cement, steel coils, logs, and more. Construction began in early 2015, launched in August, and underwent sea trials in September.
It is understood that this bulk carrier is designed by SDARI as part of the 'Dolphin 64' series and is the first ship of Changhong International's new type of green and environmentally friendly bulk carriers in recent years. It uses the original imported MAN B&W 5G60ME-C9.2 main engine, which, compared to the ordinary S-type engine, has a longer stroke and lower engine speed, improving propeller efficiency and reducing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
At the delivery ceremony, a representative from New Yangtze Navigation Group pointed out that the successful delivery of the 63,500-ton bulk carrier (CHB004) is another exemplary achievement of mutual trust and win-win development between the two parties. It will provide new momentum for New Yangtze Navigation (Singapore) Co., Ltd. and lay a solid foundation for further deepening friendship and developing cooperation between the two companies. He emphasized that since their partnership began, through the construction and delivery of two 39,000-ton bulk carriers and this delivery of the 63,500-ton bulk carrier, New Yangtze Navigation has increasingly realized that Changhong International is a strong, responsible, and capable shipbuilding enterprise. He wished for deeper and broader cooperation and lasting friendship between the two parties.
Looking back at the construction process of this ship is impressive. With the hard work of the vast number of employees at Changhong International, various production plans were effectively implemented, achieving a 100% correspondence rate for major milestones, reaching the delivery state ahead of schedule, and signing the completion agreement. In May of this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Changhong International, which quickly made it a banner for the development of the shipbuilding industry in Zhoushan City. In the next phase, all employees of Changhong International will further promote the spirit of teamwork and progress, practice the quality concept of 'doing things right the first time,' continuously optimize on-site management while ensuring quality, shorten the dock cycle, and deliver the 63,500-ton bulk carrier (CHB005) as soon as possible, contributing to the win-win cooperation between both parties!
