The Changhong International 1000TEU project has officially come into effect.

On March 31, 2016, Zhoushan Changhong International officially signed a construction contract for 4+4 units of 1004TEU container ships with JÜNGERHANS MARINE SERVICE and the China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering Design Research Institute.
The 1004TEU has a total length of 153 meters, a beam of 24.5 meters, a depth of 11.8 meters, a designed draft of 7.6 meters, a structural draft of 8 meters, a deadweight tonnage of 13,250 tons, a speed of 18 knots, and is classified by DNV-GL.
Changhong International is currently intensively organizing negotiations for equipment technical agreements and preparing to submit drawings for approval. The project is planned to start construction in August 2016, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2017.
