On May 28, Zhoushan Changhong International successfully achieved the launch of a 2500 TEU container ship built for Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics using a floating dock method, marking a pioneering achievement in the launch of large 10,000-ton vessels. This announcement signifies the successful application of Changhong International's technology for launching vessels on a 100,000-ton level ship platform.

The ship has a total length of 179.90 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 176.85 meters, a beam of 32.18 meters, a depth of 16.00 meters, and a designed draft of 9.50 meters. The current total weight is approximately 7,800 tons. Due to the bankruptcy of the original builder, Wuzhou Shipyard, this ship is now being continued by Changhong International for Shanghai Zhonggu Logistics. The ship has been positioned at the designated location on the Changhong International shipyard and is about to enter the subsequent construction phase.

The technology for launching vessels on a 100,000-ton level ship platform has been a technical challenge that the company has been tackling in recent years. This technology fully utilizes the existing equipment for launching at the company's shipyard, including a 30,000-ton lifting floating dock, a 750-ton ship moving winch system, and a ship moving pulley system, with almost no additional equipment added, saving a significant amount of cost. Through continuous planning, verification, and testing, preliminary results have now been achieved. Compared to the hydraulic trolley launching systems of other large shipyards, this presents greater challenges and higher technical requirements, especially in aspects such as precise positioning of the launch blocks within the floating dock, unloading and loading connections, and positioning of the entire ship on the ship platform.

The successful implementation of this technology is the result of the hard work and proactive efforts of all Changhong employees. It lays a solid technical foundation for Changhong International to achieve shipbuilding, ship repair, and even ship dismantling on a 100,000-ton level ship platform in the future. It enhances the company's shipbuilding, repair, and dismantling capacity, maximizes the utilization efficiency of the 100,000-ton level ship platform, and improves the company's core competitiveness.
