The 9th 5300 TEU container ship CHB2026 has been signed over for delivery.

At 8:18 AM on November 19, Zhoushan Changhong International completed the online signing and delivery of the 9th 5300 TEU container ship CHB2026, named 'NAVIOS UNITE', for Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L.P. via video link in the company's multimedia conference room at Gate 6.

 

Representatives present included Ms. Alexandra Kontaxi from NAVIOS, Captain Antonatos Nikolaos from the maritime department, Mr. Dimitrios Mavridis from IT, Ms. Yin Ling NG from the bank, Mr. Andreas Makroglou, site office manager from ADK supervision company, Mr. Da Zhou, project manager and surveyor Mr. Guan Shengyu from DNV Zhoushan, the intermediary MB Shipbrokers, Mr. Shen Zhihua, general manager of Changhong International Shipbuilding, Mr. Wang Jiazhen, chief engineer, Mr. Liu Ming, deputy general manager, and relevant leaders witnessing the ship delivery both online and offline.

 

This series of 5300 TEU container ships consists of a total of 10 vessels, with an overall length of approximately 237.8 meters, a beam of 38.8 meters, and a depth of 21.8 meters, classified by DNV. The ship design boldly breaks through the limitations of traditional container ships' narrow shapes, utilizing an innovative wide-body concept to optimize the hull form, equipped with efficient and energy-saving low-power main engines, low fuel consumption, and an EEDI energy consumption index that is more than 30% below the baseline index, meeting phase 3 requirements. This series is equipped with a 2.5-layer lashing bridge, capable of carrying 3845 14T containers, which is 145-345 more slots than other designs of the same type, equipped with 1000 reefer container sockets, allowing simultaneous loading of 750 reefer containers, and features a low-sulfur oil system, AMP, SCR, and BWMS, showcasing its green and environmentally friendly navigation concept.

'NAVIOS UNITE' will set sail on November 20.
