At 13:58 on September 23, 2024, Changhong International held the naming ceremony of the eighth ship (CHB2025) and the ninth ship (CHB2026) of the 5300 container ship of NAVIOS, the owner of Greece, at Pier 1.
Ms. Angeliki Frangou, Chairman and CEO of NAVIOS Group, Mr. Shunji Sasada, President of NAVIOS Group, Mr. Rosleff Joergen, Chief Commercial Officer of NAVIOS, and Mr. Tsironi, Chief Financial Officer of NAVIOS Ms. Erifyli; Ms. Babanara Georgia, NAVIOS Chief Financial Officer Executive Assistant; Ms. Chara Papaefthymiou, NAVIOS Technical Director; and Ranck, Unifeeder Fleet Director Mr. Morten, Mr. Li Hongwei, Chairman of Changhong International, Mr. Dai Jiming, President of Changhong International, Mr. Zhu Guiming, Vice President of Changhong International, DNV Classification Society, ADK Supervision Company, Maibo shipping brokerage, leaders of Sinosure and Changhong International staff representatives participated in the naming ceremony.
At the ceremony, Mr. Ranck Morten, Fleet Director of Unifeeder, named the new vessel CHB2025 "NAVIOS UTMOST" and Ms. Babanara Georgia, Executive Assistant to NAVIOS CFO, cut its cable.
The CHB2026 vessel was named "NAVIOS UNITE" by Ms. Frangou Angeliki, Chairman and CEO of NAVIOS Group, and the cable was cut by Ms. Tsironi Erifyli, Chief Financial Officer of NAVIOS.
The 5300 container ship project is the first cooperation between Changhong International and NAVIOS. Since the project started, Changhong's shipbuilding team has made a qualitative leap in technical design, production planning, operation and management, and front-line research. At present, 7 ships have been successfully delivered and are running well.
In his speech, Mr. Dai Jiming, President of Changhong International, expressed his sincere gratitude to NAVIOS, Maibai Shipping Brokerage, ADK Company, DNV Classification Society and Sinosure for their support. He said that in the future, the continuous delivery of this project will be an opportunity to deepen cooperation with all parties and lay a solid foundation for the smooth delivery of the subsequent 10 LR2 tankers.
Afterwards, the guests took photos with the new ship and visited the ship, and jointly wished the new ship to sail safely through the wind and waves, bringing wealth and glory to the shipowners and partners.
