On March 31, 2016, the 4+4 1000TEU ship building contracts signed between JÜNGERHANS MARINE SERVICE, CIMC Ocean Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd, and Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co., Ltd have been announced effective.
The vessel is 153.00m long, 24.50m wide, with depth 11.80m, design draft 7.60m, scantling draft 80m. The deadweight at scantling draft is abt. 13,250t. The trial speed of the vessel at design draft and SMCR of main engine without sea margin, without shaft generator load consideration, under the condition of clean bottom on calm, deep open sea and maximal wind force Bft 2 is abt. 18.0 knots. The vessel is designed and constructed in accordance with the rules and regulations of DNVGL.
Changhong is now busy with preparing the technical agreement and drawings for approval. The project is planed to start production in Aug 2016, the first vessel will be deliverd to the owner in 3rd quarter of 2017.
